LIVE UPDATE#2 FROM LENOIR-RHYNE UNIVERSITY

Many do not understand what the college football player goes through. Its a Friday night at 8pm and these players are halfway through walk through. There is a sense of urgency to the season for the Bears. They are 4-2 and looking to make some noise in the South Atlantic Conference.

The coaches are all over the defense barking how important it is for them to take this walk through serious. Game time is just around the corner. They tell them to hustle and get ready for a quick team that will not back down and would like nothing better than to slap a loss on the Bears on homecoming.

A light rain is starting to fall and the players start to become more focused. As the kicking team is on the field doing their portion of the walk through the rest of the squad is on the sideline bonding and talking of things not even related to football. Two players are having a conversation about the teams they played for in high school, tonight, they are taking each other on the field. The smack talk is hot between the two.

Some players are having a conversation on the sideline discussing what they need to graduate and what they need to get it done. Some upperclassman are giving a talking to a freshman explaining to him the fine art of acting like you are paying attention while your mind is somewhere else.

Junior corner back Carl Brooks is walking around slapping teams and getting his team up for tomorrow.
